It’s Kung Fu in the park! The Kung Fu Panda is an animated movie, featuring the voices of Jack Black, Jackie Chan, and Angelina Jolie, which is rated PG and has a run time of 92 minutes. Bring some popcorn and snacks and watch a movie under the stars on August 7th at 8pm. Terraced seating is available. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and even bug spray. If inclement weather is forecast, the movie will be cancelled.

Presented by the Plainfield Park District and the Village of Plainfield. All movies are shown in Settlers’ Park, 15251 S. Van Dyke Rd., Plainfield. Chicago Outskirts Return to Settlers’ Park August 6th 0

Join the Village for an evening of music in Settlers’ Park on Thursday, August 6, at 7:30 p.m., as the Chicago Outskirts, a women’s seventeen piece jazz ensemble, return to Settlers’ Park for an evening of jazz in the park. The concert will be held in Settlers’ Park at the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater.  Settlers’ Park is located in downtown Plainfield, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road and just south of the Village Hall.  Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road.  Terraced seating is available.  Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

It’s Christmas in July! The Polar Express movie  is rated G / 99 minutes. Calling all movie buffs! Bring some popcorn and snacks and join us for a movie under the stars on July 24th. Terraced seating is available. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and even bug spray. If inclement weather is forecast, the movie will be cancelled.
