The Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Park District will be showing Dennis The Menace on Friday, August 21, at 8:00 p.m., in Settlers’ Park at the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater. Dennis The Menace is a comedy, starring Walter Matthau and Christopher Lloyd, which is rated PG and has a run time of 92 minutes.

Bring some popcorn and enjoy a movie under the stars! Settlers’ Park is located in downtown Plainfield, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road and just south of the Village Hall. Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road. Terraced seating is available. Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. If inclement weather is forecast, the movie will be cancelled. It’s Kung Fu in the park! The Kung Fu Panda is an animated movie, featuring the voices of Jack Black, Jackie Chan, and Angelina Jolie, which is rated PG and has a run time of 92 minutes. Bring some popcorn and snacks and watch a movie under the stars on August 7th at 8pm. Terraced seating is available. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and even bug spray. If inclement weather is forecast, the movie will be cancelled.

Enjoy a movie under the stars while floating on a tube in the Ottawa Street Pool on Saturday, Aug. 1st at 8 p.m! The movie, “Jaws” (rated PG/164 min.), is free for season pass holders and $3 per person for non-season pass holders.
