The Village of Plainfield and Culver’s are joining forces to raise funds for United Way of Will County! On Tuesday, August 4, the Plainfield Culver’s will donate 10% of their proceeds between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to United Way of Will County. During lunch and dinner, Village representatives will be serving burgers, fries, ice cream, and other Culver’s favorites to restaurant patrons.

Culver’s – famous for their frozen custard and butterburgers – is located at 13449 S. Route 59, on the northeast corner of 135th Street and Route 59 in Plainfield.
United Way of Will County works with local volunteers to identify and solve critical issues faced by many Will County residents. For over 70 years, United Way of Will County has continued to focus on making real, lasting change to improve people’s lives right here in our neighborhood. Help support United Way by joining the Village for a great meal at Culver’s on August 4!

Don’t miss this yearly fundraiser for the library! August 21 and 22, 9-5 each day. Thousands of gently used items – books, dvds, and cds- will be available at rock bottom prices.

Wondering what to do with all those books that you read years ago and now take up valuable space on your shelves and in your drawers? Let’s face it, you’re not going to read them again! Donate them! You get a tax write-off and you’ll feel good too!
The Friends of the Library will be collecting items for their annual sale from Monday August 10 until Saturday, August 15, 9-5 each day. Books, videos, DVDs, CDs and textbooks are all welcome! Sorry, they cannot accept magazines, newspapers or encyclopedias. Please bring items into the library in disposable containers such as cardboard boxes or paper bags. Thank you for your support and help in this project.
