Man Injured in County Line Road Rollover
A man in his 20s was transported to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora following a single-vehicle crash at County Line Road and Route 126 at around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Plainfield Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Jon Stratton said the man was heading north on County Line Road when he overshot the intersection and rolled his SUV.
“It ended up on the opposite side of the street and upside down in a drainage ditch,” Stratton said. A hazardous materials crew was called out to clean up fuel leaking into the ditch.
Stratton said the man in fair condition Tuesday afternoon. Will County Sheriff’s police are investigating the crash. There were no other occupants in the vehicle, he said.
County Line Road was down to one lane immediately following the crash, but Stratton expected the road to reopen shortly before 3 p.m.
The accident was the third reported rollover in the Plainfield area since Tuesday.
