Man Accused of Leaving Injured Passenger at Plainfield Crash Site

Adam Drop

A Naperville man is accused of abandoning an injured passenger following a crash on Drauden Road, police said.

Adam R. Drop, 27, of the 1700 block of Ontario Avenue, was arrested Saturday by Plainfield police after allegedly driving off after the incident.

“He was in an accident and his passenger was injured,” Plainfield Sgt. Mike Fisher said.

Instead of seeking help or reporting the crash, Fisher said, Drop drove away while the passenger walked to the nearby Springbank Aquatic Center to call for emergency assistance.

Drop is charged with failing to give information or render aid following an accident with injuries, failure to give notice of an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

He was scheduled to appear in Will County court Monday afternoon.
