Plainfield Movies in the Park-Aug 21-Dennis The Menace

The Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Park District will be showing Dennis The Menace on Friday, August 21, at 8:00 p.m., in Settlers’ Park at the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater.  Dennis The Menace is a comedy, starring Walter Matthau and Christopher Lloyd, which is rated PG and has a run time of 92 minutes.

Bring some popcorn and enjoy a movie under the stars! Settlers’ Park is located in downtown Plainfield, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road and just south of the Village Hall. Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road.  Terraced seating is available. Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.  If inclement weather is forecast, the movie will be cancelled. Helpful information for enjoying movies at Settlers’ Park:

  • Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking  Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road.
  • Terraced seating is available.   Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and even bug spray.
  • Concessions will be sold by the Friends of the Plainfield Park District Foundation at the new Settlers’ Park Concession Facility.
